We dug into some phenomenal dishes, including the bold and aromatic cumin lamb, a massive and comforting bowl of brisket rice noodles packed with rich seasoning, and a classic, perfectly executed combination lo mein that brought everything together. The Vibe: Casual, welcoming, and straightforward,letting the incredible food take center stage. House of Three Gorges was excellent, authentic Chinese Sichuan food in N Austin. Get reservations in advance as it’s a smaller place and extremely popular. The Sichuan dry stir fried chicken and wonton soup were my favorites. I’ll be back, there’s a lot I want to try.

There are moments in life when you take one bite… stop chewing… look around the table… and quietly whisper, “Houston, we have a new champion.” Ladies and gentlemen… I have officially found THE BEST Orange Chicken in Austin. 🏆🍊🐔 I’m not talking “pretty good.” I’m talking cancel your usual Chinese takeout order good. The chicken stayed unbelievably crispy under that glossy, sweet, tangy, slightly spicy sauce. Every bite had that perfect crunch before exploding with flavor. It was the kind of dish where I kept saying, “One more piece…” about 17 times. And don’t sleep on everything else either. The vegetable lo mein was fresh, loaded with veggies, and cooked perfectly. The egg rolls were golden, crispy, and exactly what you want to kick off the meal. Even the egg drop soup came out comforting and silky smooth—the perfect warm-up before the main event. This is a gem. Authentic chinese food - every dish was amazing. No wonder this place is packed all the time. We had the Cumin Beef, Mala Chicken, Shrimp in Garlic sauce and many items. Every item was perfectly cooked and hit the spot.

Tastes like Authentic Chinese Sichuan 🥘 food Love the numbing spicy kick 🌶️ Jumping fish- 4/5 Dry pot pork rib - 5/5 Dry pot lamb - 5/5 (similar base taste for every dry pot i guess) Small but clean seating. Weekdays Lunch time is very busy. On weekends, its super crowded that you might need to wait for an hour to get an empty table. Self order service. You need to find an empty table and then go to the front counter to order. Food will be served over the table. Food comes very quick and hot.
